Gastrointestinal
Stomach ulcer, also called peptic ulcer illness or PUD is a definition for ulcer of gastrointestinal tract area which is commonly acidic and that's why extraordinary painful. Practically 80% of patients suffering from ulcer have it because of Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium of spiral shape, which develops in acid environment, but only 20% inform the health care provider of it (the disease is not live-threatening if noticed in time and is available to cure using surgery). Ulcer may also be a reason of consuming medicines as Aspirin or other NSAID drugs. Despite of people's beliefs, the majority of stomach ulcers start in duodenum (small intestine's first part, straight after the stomach) but not in the stomach. Possibly the psychological stress is commonly the second reason for peptic ulcers after H pylori. Its action lies in providing the excretion of gastric acid or assisting the behavior which may lead to health problems. Researches processed on ulcer sufferers in Thai hospitals show that permanent stress can directly lead to an enhanced risk of stomach ulcer, and if it is mixed with irregular meals schedule, the risk becomes even more significant. An effective antibiotic taken to treat stomach ulcer and its symptoms is Protonix (Pantoprazole).
