Aciphex is intended for the treatment of of gastroesophageal reflux disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and in the therapy of erosive esophagitis all of them originating from excessive level of acid in the stomach. The medication if taken in complex with antibiotics can also be used as a prevention measure against gastric ulcer induced from the helicobacter pylori contagion.

The drug should be taken on a regular schedule not exceeding the amount. The course generally lasts for 4-8 weeks (7 days in case of H. pylori contagion treatment). The tablets are supposed to be taken without any transformation with water. Do not make any terminations in the course of administration unless your doctor tells you differently. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once as it may evoke overdose and unwanted effects.

Should you have intolerance response to rabeprazole, resembling medications (i.e. lansoprazole, esomeprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole) or any other remedies make your doctor aware of it.
