The therapeutic indications for the usage of Adalat CC Er (active ingredient nifedipine) are hypertension (high blood pressure) and chest pain (angina). The medication refers to calcium channel blockers. This means that the medication functions by controlling calcium amount and slackening veins and arteries of the heart therefore relieving its strain and elevating its function.

The medication represents extended-release tablets and in this way they differ from the ordinary pills. They are supposed to be taken without any transformation on a regular basis with water. Any alternations in the course of administration or its termination should be discussed with the physician.
