The medication has a task of treating gout and gouty arthritis. It works by assisting with the organism in getting rid of uric acid out through the urine. It can also be used in combination with other penicillin antibiotics with the purposes to increase their efficiency. The therapy may also be combined with the program of dieting and administration of other supplements.

The mode of drug administration presupposes the medication to be taken according to your prescription no longer than needed and not exceeding the necessary amount. In case you left out a dose do not try to make up for it taking two at once. Make sure you drink sufficient amounts of water during the treatment.

The medication is contraindicated to the patients hypesensitive to probenecid, having a gout attack that has already started, anemia or the condition of decreased white blood cells. The same refers to illnesses of liver and kidneys, stomach ulcer and some else. Children under 2 years of age are forbidden to be given the medication; pregnant and breast-feeding women are not recommended to use the medicine.
