Cardizem CR represents a controlled-release pill and refers to calcium channel blockers. Therapeutic indications are chest pain and hypertension; cases of heart rhythm disorder.

The medication is usually taken before evening meal and going to bed. No transformation should be made to the pill; tablets taken whole as it is intended to eject medicine slowly in the body. The medication must be taken on a regular basis for the whole period of therapy not exceeding the dose and prescribed period; any termination in the use must be discussed with the physician. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once.
