It is a preparation of a calcium channel blocker (generic name of the drug is diltiazem). Therapeutic indications: hypertension and chest pain.

Do not make any transformation to the controlled delivery pills. The medicine must be taken on a regular basis not exceeding the prescribed amount according to the instruction precisely. Should you leave out a dose do not try to make up for it taking a double one.

Contraindications: hypersensitive response to the medication; heart problems, low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, liver disease or previous heart attack. The medicine can be dangerous for a fetus and infant therefore pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult the doctor before taking it. The additional medications you need to take must be checked with the physician: cisapride, hawthorn, pimozide, ranolazine, red yeast rice, lovastatin, local anesthetics or general anesthetics, carbamazepine, other hypertension or heart problems medications. Avoid alcoholic beverages.
