Generic name of the medicine is demeclocycline. It's a preparation of a tetracycline antibiotic and is intended for the cure of different contagions. It functions by interfering with certain bacteria further growth therefore making it possible for the organism to fight them on its own. Nevertheless the drug does not treat viral infections.

Contraindications: intolerance response to some medications, or if you are on the therapy with acitretin, isotretinoin, or a penicillin. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are forbidden to take the drug because it can be harmful to a fetus and an infant. Do not combine the drug with acitretin, anticoagulants, digoxin, isotretinoin, methotrexate, or methoxyflurane, also penicillin or hormonal birth control.

The remedy is intended to be taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. The therapy should be completed and should not be terminated at self will. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once as it may evoke overdose and unwanted effects. The medication should be kept in a cool and dry place. Be careful giving it to kids and elderly people.
