The medication refers to digitalis glycosides and increases the contraction force of the heart making the heart rate slower. It is intended for the treatment of chronic atrial fibrillation.

Contraindications: intolerance to the drug, condition of heart disease or ventricular fibrillation, in case you are on therapy with sucralfate. The following conditions should be considered with the doctor: states of pregnancy and nursing, coronary artery disease, heart attack, heart block and so on, kidney, liver or lung problems, or thyroid problems; and some others.

Digitek is not supposed to be taken together with food high in fiber, antacids containing aluminum or magnesium, cholestyramine, or colestipol. Be careful combining the drug with other medications. Do not make up for the missed dose taking two at once.
