Generic Dilantin

Generic name of the medicine is phenytoin. It's a preparation of an anti-epileptic drug or an anticonvulsant. Therapeutic indication: seizures.

Contraindications: intolerance to the drug. Liver illness, porphyria, diabetes, or a vitamin D deficiency - all this should be considered before taking the medication. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once. Do not stop the administration abruptly as it may impair the seizures. Do not exceed the norm or the prescribed period. Do not take those Dilantin capsules or tablets that have a change in color. Refrain from alcohol beverages and do not mix the drug with antacids. Be very careful giving the remedy to kids.
