The medication represents orally active progestogen and it is purposed for the treatment of various menstrual disorders, irregularity of periods and their cycles, secondary amenorrhoea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding and post-menopausal complaints all of them in either way originating from progesterone deficiency. The drug is considered as non-androgenic, non-corticoid, non-anabolic and non-estrogenic; it doesn't function as a birth control device and is not intended to intervene with ovulation.

The medication should be taken only during the period when its shelf-life is valid. The mode of administration differs for every therapeutic condition mentioned above and is indicated on the instruction. The prescription should be strictly followed and dosage not exceeded.

Contraindications for the therapy with the drug are a history of thromboembolic disorders and undiagnosed vaginal bleeding. The following conditions should be considered by the doctor on the subject of drug usage: liability to mental depression, cardiovascular, renal or hepatic impairment, history of migraine, diabetes, epilepsy and asthma.
