Generic name of the medicine is famciclovir. It's a preparation of an antiviral and is intended for the treatment of recurring herpes skin infections in HIV-patients and also is given for cold sores and recurring genital herpes. It bars the reproduction of the virus.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Famvir or to penciclovir, galactose intolerance, severe lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose absorption problems.
