The generic name of the medication is griseofulvin. It is intended for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin, hair, and nails.

Contraindications: intolerance to the remedy, systemic lupus erythematosus, porphyria and liver disease. The drug is of danger to an infant and a fetus therefore it is not recommended to take it provided you are pregnant and nursing. Do not combine the drug with barbiturate medicines, female hormones and warfarin.

Do not exceed the necessary amount and the prescribed time of administration. Take the pills on a regular basis and do not stop unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once as it may evoke overdose and unwanted effects. Refrain from excessive sunlight be it natural or artificial.
