Generic Gengraf

Generic name of the medicine is cyclosporine. It's a preparation of an immunosuppressant and is intended for the prevention of the organ transplants (kidney, liver, and heart) rejection.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Gengraf, kidney or liver problems or some blood problems, if you have psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, or cancer, provided you will be vaccinated with a live vaccine. The following conditions may require additional attention: brain, or nerve problems; high blood potassium or uric acid levels; low blood magnesium or cholesterol levels, or problems absorbing food or medicine, a history of seizures and some others. The drug is incompatible with a large number of prescription and over-the-counter medications, potassium-sparing diuretics, bosentan, orlistat, disulfiram, fluorouracil, or metronidazole. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are forbidden to take the drug because it can be harmful to a fetus and an infant.

The remedy is intended to be taken with meals and should not be combined with any grapefruit product. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once as it may evoke overdose and unwanted effects. Be careful giving it to elderly people. Do not use the medicine provided its shelf-life expired.

Gengraf can make you giddy and sleepy and makes your immune system less resistible to infections, and has other adverse effects. Should you have any worrying sensations, suspect an overdose or have some questions apply to your physician or other healthcare provider.
