Generic name of the medicine is griseofulvin. It's an antifungal preparation and is intended for the treatment of fungal infections of the scalp, body, foot, nails, thigh or hair follicles.

Contraindications: intolerance to the drug and porphyria. Other possible contraindications: diabetes, liver disease, lupus, or numbness of the hands or feet. If you are in the state of pregnancy or you are breast-feeding it is forbidden to take the drug. It is crucial to be careful while combining the medication with cyclosporine, barbiturate, female hormones and anticoagulants.
