Generic Hydrodiuril

Generic name of the medicine is hydrochlorothiazide. It is a preparation of a thiazide diuretic. Therapeutic indication: fluid retention (edema) in patients with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or other condition; another indication - hypertension.

Contraindications: intolerance response to hydrochlorothiazide, kidney or liver illness, asthma, gout, diabetes, an allergy to sulfa drugs. The drug can be also incompatible with lithium, cholestyramine, steroids, other blood pressure medications, NSAIDs, ibuprofen, diclofenac, insulin or diabetes medicine, and some others therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are recommended to consult a doctor before taking the drug.

The remedy is intended to be taken on a regular basis. Do not exceed the necessary dose. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed. It is recommended that the full course of treatment was completed even if you feel better after some time. Abstain from alcohol, excessive sun and dehydration.
