Generic name of the medicine is lamotrigine. It is a preparation of an anticonvulsant. Therapeutic indication: seizures of certain type. Another indication: reduction of the occurrence of mood problems in some people suffering from bipolar disorder.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Lamictal Dispersible, also - liver or kidney problems, a skin rash, mental or mood problems, heart or blood problems, provided you are on dialyses. The drug can be also incompatible with carbamazepine, valproate, estrogens, hormonal contraceptives, and some others therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are forbidden to take the drug.

The remedy is intended to be taken on a regular basis. The dispersible drug can be swallowed or chewed or mixed in water or thinned fruit juice. Do not exceed the necessary dose. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed. It is recommended that the full course of treatment was completed even if you feel better after some time. Be cautious giving the medicine to kids.

The drug has a list of adverse effects, impair your vision and make you sleepy. If you experience any disturbing sensations or suspect an overdose apply to your physician or other healthcare provider.
