Generic Lamprene Active Ingredient: Clofazimine

Generic name of the medicine is clofazimine. It is a preparation of an anti-infective medicine. Therapeutic indication: leprosy.

Contraindications: intolerance response to clofazimine or any other medicines, also - stomach problems, pain or bleeding, provided you wear contact lenses, diarrhea. The drug can be also incompatible with dapsone and some others therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are forbidden to take the drug.

The remedy is intended to be taken on a regular basis with meals and washed down with water. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed. It is recommended that the full course of treatment was completed even if you feel better after some time. Be cautious giving the medicine to kids.

The drug has a list of adverse effects, it can change the color of your skin and make you more sun-sensitive (therefore abstain from excessive sunlight be it natural or artificial). If you experience any disturbing sensations or suspect an overdose apply to your physician or other healthcare provider.
