Generic name of the medicine is baclofen. It is a muscle relaxant and antispastic agent. Therapeutic indication: severe muscle spasms originating from different causes.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Lioresal. Other possible contraindications: kidney problems or failure, nerve damage, bizarre behavior, recent stroke, an infection or very high blood pressure connected with a spinal injury, any intolerance response, and some others. The drug can be also incompatible with epidural morphine therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant women are recommended to consult a doctor before taking the drug and breast-feeding ones are forbidden to take it. Do not give it to children younger than 4 years of age.
