Generic name of the drug is indapamide. It is a preparation of a diuretic and is purposed as hypertension medication and also as salt and fluid retention reliever. It is not presupposed as a cure.
Contraindications: intolerance response to the drug itself diabetes, kidney, liver thyroid illness, low blood levels of potassium, chloride, or sodium. The drug can be also incompatible with amiodarone, dofetilide, heart medicines, medicines for diabetes, high blood pressure, colds and breathing difficulties, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, water pills, and some others therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are recommended to consult a doctor before taking the drug.
Lozol SR represents sustained-release pills and this medication is intended to be taken on a regular basis washed down with water. It is therefore not advised to take the medicine at bedtime. Do not exceed the necessary dose. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed. It is recommended that the full course of treatment was completed. Refrain from alcohol, excessive sunlight and dehydration.
