Generic name of the medicine is prednisone. It is a preparation of a corticosteroid. Therapeutic indications: inflammation of the skin, joints, lungs, and other organs; other indications - asthma, allergies, and arthritis, blood disorders and diseases of the adrenal glands.

Contraindications: intolerance response to prednisone, kidney or liver illness, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental problems, seizures, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, stomach ulcer, and some others. The drug can be also incompatible with mifepristone, aspirin and resembling drugs, vaccines, and some others therefore you should be careful taking them together. Pregnant and breast-feeding women are recommended to consult a doctor before taking the drug.

The remedy is intended to be taken on a regular basis with water. If taken one time a day it should be made in the morning. Do not exceed the necessary dose and do not terminate the administration suddenly. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed.

The drug has a list of adverse effects; it can raise your blood sugar level, make you less resistant to an infection. Provided you experience any disturbing sensations or suspect an overdose apply to your physician or other healthcare provider.
