Minipress is intended to cure the illnesses connected with hypertension and enlargement of the prostate. Being an alpha-blocker it slackens the blood vessels and the muscles around the urethra reducing the blood pressure level. It also assists with urination in the case of benign prostatic hyperplasia. The remedy is required to be taken either with or without food on a regular basis.

The medication is contraindicated in case of allergic response to the compounds of the drug. Other contraindications are states of pregnancy and breast-feeding, intolerance to substances or other drugs, history of angina, kidney illness or else. Be careful when taking the medication in complex with other drugs and pay particular attention to diuretics, beta-blockers and phosphodiesterase inhibitors.
