Generic name of the medicine is naproxen. The preparation refers to NSAIDs and functions by lessening swelling and pain. Therapeutic indication is treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, bursitis, gout, pains, headache, or painful monthly periods.

The medication is supposed to be taken on a regular basis with water. It is required that you are able to stand for at least 10 minutes after you take the drug. Do not exceed the necessary amount or the prescribed period of administration; no abrupt termination of administration should be made at self-will as it may cause abstinence syndrome. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once.

Contraindications or conditions that may require doctor's consideration: intolerance response to naproxen, aspirin, other NSAIDs, if you have asthma, stomach bleeding or ulcers, heart disease or circulation problems, and some others. The medicine is harmful for a future baby and an infant therefore pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult the doctor before taking it. The medication is incompatible with ibuprofen, aspirin, cidofovir, lithium, methotrexate, diuretics, probenecid, warfarin, and etc. Refrain from alcohol and cigarettes being on the therapy with the drug.

Naprelan can make you giddy and sleepy and has other more serious adverse effects (it is able to evoke ulcers and bleeding in the stomach and intestines). Be careful in the situations requiring alertness and attention. Adverse effects of the medication can be mild and severe and in case you experience any, or you overdosed apply to your doctor for help.
