Generic Nimotop

The medication has a generic name of nimodipine and refers to calcium channel blocking agents. It is intended for relieving problems connected with insufficient amount of oxygen in the brain. This condition may occur due to the bleeding from a blood vessel in the brain.

Nimotop is not taken in the following conditions: provided you have heart problem of any kind, low blood pressure, if you are hypersensitive to any drugs or substances, if you are pregnant and nursing. During the time of the therapy be careful not combining it with other calcium channel blockers or any medications for blood pressure treatment.

The drug is supposed to be taken either 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after. Refrain from alcohol and grapefruit products being treated with Nimotop. Should you leave out a dose do not take double amount to make up for it. Be cautious giving the drug to kids and elderly people.

The remedy can make you feel giddy and evoke other adverse effects. If you happen to feel unwell while taking the medicine or you suspect symptoms of overdose contact your physician or any other healthcare provider.
