The medication is presupposed for the prevention and treatment of influenza virus types A and B in the organism. Therapeutic indications are contagion symptoms that are not more than 2 days old and that haven't yet shown themselves (as a preventive measure). Remember that common cold is not cured by the drug. The therapy with Tamiflu should not replace a flu shot that is given annually.

The mode of administration depends on either the contagion is going to be treated or prevented. The medication must be taken immediately provided you've recognized the first flu signs and proceeded during the whole therapy period even if you seem to feel better or completely cured. The medication is represented in the form of capsules and liquid drug; the former should be washed down with water, the latter requires a jolt and an assessment before usage. It is up to you to decide will you consume it with meals or not. Do not make up for a left out dose taking more medicine at a time than needed.

Contraindications: allergy to oseltamivir, nasal flu vaccine (FluMist) received in the previous fortnight, illnesses of heart, lung and kidneys, brain disorder. There is an ambiguous opinion about the usage of the medication by pregnant and nursing women and only your doctor can decide upon it concerning your individual case.
