Generic name of the drug is theophylline. The medication refers to oral bronchodilator medications. Therapeutic indications are reversible asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.

The medication represents a time-release medication. The mode of administration presupposes that the medicine should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before a meal with a glass of water. Do not make any transformation to the pills. The medication should be taken during the whole period of therapy. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once.

Pregnant and nursing women should not take the medication without a proper consultation because the drug might be dangerous for a baby and an infant. Other contraindications: allergy to the drug or resembling medicines, heart disease, irregular heartbeat, liver disease, seizures, stomach problems, thyroid disease and other serious conditions. Do not combine the remedy with any drugs before you check the interaction with the doctor (this refers to adenosine, allopurinol, aminoglutethimide, caffeine, cimetidine, disulfiram, ephedrine, fluvoxamine, interferon, isoproterenol, lithium, and some others).
