The medication refers to oral bronchodilator medications. Generic name is theophylline. Therapeutic indications are reversible asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.

The medication represents a sustain-release medication. Take this medicine on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before eating. Do not make any transformation to the pills. The medication should be taken during the whole period of therapy. Do not make up for the left out dose taking two pills at once.

Provided you have intolerance to the drug or resembling medicines make your doctor aware of it. Heart disease, irregular heartbeat, liver disease, seizures, stomach problems, thyroid disease and other serious conditions can be contraindications for the therapy with the drug. Do not combine the remedy with any drugs before you check the interaction with the doctor (this refers to adenosine, allopurinol, aminoglutethimide, caffeine, cimetidine, disulfiram, ephedrine, fluvoxamine, interferon, isoproterenol, lithium, and some others). Pregnant and nursing women should not take the medication without a proper consultation.
