Generic name of the medicine is flavoxate. The preparation refers to anticholinergics and functions by decreasing muscle spasms of the bladder. It is intended for pain relieving and urination problems originated from some conditions.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Urispas, stomach bleeding, urinary blockage, a bowel obstruction, , difficulty swallowing due to esophagus problems, or rectal bleeding; also glaucoma and an enlarged prostate. The medicine is not expectedto be harmful for a fetus and a baby but nevertheless pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult the doctor before taking it.

The remedy is intended to be taken either with or without food on a regular basis. Should you leave out a dose do not make up for it taking two at once as it may evoke overdose and unwanted effects. Abstain from alcohol; avoid being dehydrated; be careful giving the medicine to the kids younger than 12 years of age.
