Generic name of the drug is ranitidine. It is a preparation of an H2-receptor blocker. Therapeutic indications: conditions causing the body to produce excessive amount of stomach acid. It also used in the treatment of ulcers of the small intestine. It bars the action of histamine in the stomach.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Zantac, the blood disease porphyria, also current therapy with dasatinib.
