Generic name of the medicine is tegaserod. It refers to a selective serotonin receptor agonist and assists in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in women with constipation. General therapeutic indication: constipation.

Contraindications: intolerance response to Zelnorm, bile duct or gallbladder problems, blockage of the bowel, or abdominal adhesions, diarrhea, kidney or liver problems. Other possible contraindications: low blood pressure or dehydration, hypersensitivity to medicines, foods, or other substances and some others.
